The Liver Building

In today’s tough labour market school leavers need good presentation and communication skills to help them get a job.

YOU can help develop their interview skills by offering to hold an Employability Interview with them. This will prepare students for a successful real life interview and give them a clear understanding of the recruitment process.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

You are invited to attend at a school of your choice and hold a half hour interview with students on a one to one basis. The students will have already completed a standard application form and the interview is usually based around the contents of it. You will be asked to offer feedback on their performance, to give them an understanding of their strengths and development needs in the areas required by employers, such as communication, general demeanour, academic achievements etc.

BENEFITS TO YOUR BUSINESS

  • You’re developing the workforce of tomorrow
  • Provides a development opportunity for your staff
  • Provides you with an insight into Education

“We encourage our employers to volunteer to do Employability Interviews in schools because the benefits to us and young people are mutual. Our staff develop new skills whilst the students benefit from their expertise.”
