Bringing Industry and Enterprise into the classroom
Employers require a future workforce that is enterprising, innovative
and skilful in order for their businesses to stay ahead of the
competition. To equip students with these skills we have developed
The Enterprise Day Programme.
Enterprise days are a fun and interactive way for students to
experience a range of business and enterprise activities…….. in
school.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
With Liverpool Compact EBP’s help, a group of Employers run
Business/Enterprise workshops, simulations or problem solving exercises
for small groups of students. They aim to give the students an understanding
of how different areas of business work and to generate enthusiasm
for enterprise, encouraging new entrepreneurs!
Activities normally last up to an hour and a half.
Students may be asked to market a new product, build
a Lego tower or build a survival shelter out of newspaper. Whatever
the task,
it will link the workplace to the curriculum.
The Enterprise Days are aimed at developing students’ Key
Skills including team work, presentation, communication, creative
thinking,
financial planning, problem solving and leadership.
