Making a difference…

By becoming a Mentor to a young person YOU can be a positive influence in their educational development.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Some students are in danger of not fulfilling their potential. It could be due to lack of confidence, negative peer pressure or low career aspirations. However, a Mentor can be a real motivator and help instil the importance of doing one’s best at school to increase the student’s job prospects.

You are asked to meet with your mentee for up to an hour, once a fortnight, to discuss school, aspirations and life in general. You’ll be part of a Mentoring network where you can exchange ideas and gain support from other Mentors.

BENEFITS TO YOUR BUSINESS

  • An opportunity for your staff to develop their interpersonal skills
  • Gives you an insight into Education and the youth culture
