Why employers support
Business Talks
We want passionate, enthusiastic people to work in our industry and by talking to Hospitality students about the importance of customer service we can emphasise our requirements right from the start.
Stephen Roberts
General Manager, Crowne Plaza, Liverpool City Centre
Employability Interviews
The RSPCA benefits from meeting young people interested in animal care and we can explain the qualities needed for this career. Every interview has been a joy and an antidote to the stereotyping of today’s young people.
John Smallwood
Secretary & Administrator, RSPCA Liverpool Branch
Enterprise Days
We think it is important that employers have an input into young people’s education and help up skill the future workforce. We challenged a group of young people to be Wedding Co-ordinators for the day, to market the venue, choose the menu and even decorate the tables! They learnt quickly and we were amazed at their creativity.
Emma Chang
General Manager – The Liner
Primary Careers Carousels
We take great pride in our strong community links and the Careers Carousels allow Cruden to engage with a younger audience to promote the benefits of a career in the Construction Industry, tackling any misconceptions at an early stage.
Emma Jayne Brown
Cruden Group Limited
Visits to Industry
Here at Jaguar Land Rover we believe it is imperative that young people get the chance to see what working in a major car production company involves. A visit to industry provides this insight and allows us to discuss future, exciting career opportunities for potential apprentices.
Marion Thomas
Manager, Education Business Centre, Jaguar Land Rover, Halewood Operations
Work Experience
Working with young people enables us to see things with the perspective of youth, no bad thing and the students bring out the best in our workforce as the staff thrive on seeing students blossom.
Christine Elliott
Director, Gateacre Press
Staff find this programme very rewarding. Initially the young people are shy and nervous but within 2 weeks become confident and part of the team. It’s lovely to see. A couple have even come back to us for Summer Jobs and they fit in perfectly which is great for us!.
Anne-Marie Hassett
Recruitment & Training Co-ordinator, Marks & Spencer, Liverpool
Year 12 Focus Days
Liverpool Hope University is pleased to host and support the Year 12 Focus days. Students get to experience campus life as well as receiving lots of useful information on courses and careers from a variety of Universities and Graduate Employers. This is beneficial to both students and exhibitors.
