Employability Interviews
In today's tough labour market school leavers need good presentation and communication skills to help them get a job or a place in Further Education.
We can arrange for local employers to come into your school and hold ‘Employability Interviews’ with your students. This will prepare them for a successful real life interview, help develop their skills and give them a clear understanding of the recruitment process.
How do they work?
We will agree convenient dates with you. We then invite a number of employers to conduct Employability Interviews at your school. Prior to the interviews we will provide you with standard application forms for each student to complete or as more employers are now requesting on line applications you may prefer for them to complete one on line. One is available on this page by clicking on the ‘On line Application Form’ button.
Employers then come to school and will hold a half-hour interview with each student. The interview is usually based around the contents of the application form.
After the interview the employer will offer feedback on the student's performance to give them an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses in the areas of communication, general demeanour, academic achievements etc.
