Year 12 Focus Days
What next?
We all know how important it is for young people to learn about the career options open to them. Be it starting an Apprenticeship, going to College or University or getting a job.
Liverpool Compact EBP can help. Twice a year, usually around February we organise a Focus Day for Year 12 students at Liverpool Hope University.
How do they work?
We invite Employers, Universities and Colleges to the offsite venue where we hold the Focus Day. There are usually around 25 exhibitors at an event. Schools are invited to either a morning or afternoon session. The morning session runs from 9.30am to 11.30am and one hour is spent touring the main exhibition area and speaking to key personnel and collating information. The other hour is spent listening to a presentation about University life; delivered by University Student Liaison Officers.
The afternoon session runs from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and follows the same format.
A total of 500 plus students normally attend on the day, accompanied by teachers.
